Disabling onboard graphics

so my friend asus z170 ar and when he goes to the bios then advanced the chipset config doesn't pop up which is needed to get to internal graphics then cofig onboard graphics then turn it off, originally he had a really old version of bios so i got him to updat it but it has still not come up. is anyone able to help

Have you turned Advanced Mode on in the BIOS? The key for is it probably F7. Also, iGPU should by default be disabled if there is a dGPU installed, anyways.
