So I was away from my computer for like 10 minutes and when I come back I see that my monitor lost signal and then I cleared the CMOS and tried another monitor and nothing and then I tried taking the ram out and when I put it back together I tried with only one stick and it worked then I tried it with the other one and I was getting bips about my ram. Ram wasn't the first thing I checked because I wasn't getting any bips it just won't give a signal so I thought "that has to be a gpu problem" and now I don't know if one of my ram sticks is dead. How can I be sure one of my ram sticks is dead?

I would plug them each in individually, try one stick at a time and if they all work working in single channel then I would doubt it’s your ram,(also try making sure there’s no buildup of any sort in the ram slot itself) as for your issue I’ve had that happen and it was my motherboard taking a poop on itself. But definitely could be your gpu as well

I reread your message and I misread, if one ram stick is not working in a slot you had a working one, then I would guess it’s dead. Ram comes with great warranty’s though contact whatever brand you have and see what they can do for you

It's warranty ran out a long time ago it's ddr3 and I wanted to make sure if I need to buy another stick I guess it just randomly died

Ok I guess electronics are weird, today I once again tried the other ram stick and it worked

Presto! Must have just had it seated wrong it caught a piece of dirt! Glad your issue is fixed and some rams come with lifetime warranty’s but your right ddr3 is old in today’s standards, feels weird to say that.
