Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new smartphone. I always went for Samsung because it simply works, I love the curved edges and the quality is great. The one thing that bothers me about European Samsungs is that they don't use snapdragon. The phone gets so hot that it hurts my hands when it's hot outside.

So things I find important are:

  • €1000 budget
  • Doesn't get too hot
  • Around the size of an S9, can be bit smaller or bigger
  • The Back camera has to make great landscape photo's
  • Minimum ip68
  • No iPhone

I am from the Netherlands

Considering the criteria, I'd say the pixel 4 is your best and probably only bet. It has the best camera of the choices huliun listed, and will receive better software support compared to the others. Also avoid the Huawei and ZTE, as they no longer get Google services.
