RAM compatibility.

Currently I have a laptop with only a single stick of 4GB 2400 ram.

 

Question is, can I add a 8GB 2666 ram?

My laptop is an acer nitro 5 using the Ryzen 5 3550H and RX 560X.

You can if you have an available slot, but it will only run at the lower of the two speeds. Mixing ram sometimes causes issues as well, but not always.

Make sure your laptop supports it 

Sometimes the firmware on laptops and the bios can be a little finiky 

So just check a list of compatibility (on the manufacturer's site )

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).
