I installed new drive so my old drive has the old windows files which I want to delete now of course
I manged to delete half of the files but the remaining half can't be deleted, I can't change the owner of these files or edit permissions (screenshot below) even though the folder containing them has me (current user) as owner with full control
so without me having access I can't delete them, and yes I tried EVERYTHING, it doesn't show up on disk cleanup and I tried every command on cmd and it keeps telling me access is denied for whatever command I try to do, I spent a whole day looking online for an answer and found nothing

would really appreciate the help, these files are taking about 200 GB of my drive

learned a trick for these using 7 ZIP.  you add the folder to a compressed file and select to delete source files when done.   it works every time for me.

1. Right click Add to Archive (7 zip)

2. check delete files after compression

3. delete zip file when completed.
