I ordered a new 240hz 1080p monitor (Alienware AW2518HF) after spending about a year using a 144hz 1080p.

I've never had a problem maintaining 144 FPS for my old monitor, but I wanna do everything i can to maintain (as consistent as possible) 240 FPS for 240hz.

I was wondering if there's any potential bottlenecking with my PC that might be holding me back from getting where i want to be, and specific in-game settings that I can use to optimize 240+ fps gaming (without bottlenecking)

I play competitive FPS/eSports games, such as Overwatch (main game), CSGO, and others such as valorant.

PC Specs:

-GPU: RTX 2080

-CPU: i7-8700k OC @4.7 GHz

-RAM: 64gb @2666mhz

-Motherboard: ASUS Z370 Motherboard

Is there a limiting factor with my setup for 240hz 1080p gaming, specifically for overwatch?

What specific settings would benefit my FPS increase and stability?

Gsync on/off?

Please be as detailed as possible, would really appreciate answers to these questions. Thank you

Gsync and v sync off.

pretty good build. i would wait for new gpus after summer and upgrade to rtx 3080/ 3080 ti or something.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

If gsync claims to have little to no input lag compared to vsync, what's the downside of having gsync on as opposed to keeping it off
