windows 7 install on nvme

I need some help, after searching around the internet for awhile I have not come up with a concrete plan.

I need to install windows 7, to use the free upgrade to windows 10.  (if there is a better idea for this let me know)

I am installing windows 7 on an inland premium nvme attached to my asrock x570 pro4.  

What I have been seeing is I need a nvm driver to use during boot or it won't recognize my ssd.

Is that the jest of it?

You can install Windows 10 and enter your Windows 7 license, has long has you install the same version home or pro.

I could have swore I tried this but I will retry, and i believe I had the same win10 version downloaded.  Thank you

I've done it last week with a Windows 7 Pro license and it worked.

Perfect, I've been trying to jump through hoops to get windows 7 installed just so I can upgrade to windows 10 lol

Yeah just be sure if you have a Windows 7 Home Premium license you install Windows 10 Home and it should work.

Thank you Viper, worked great.  What I had done was tried to use my previously upgraded windows 10 key.  And not my original windows 7 key.
