Will this damage or do anything?

Recently purchased another card for SLI, putting the top card in an x16 and bottom in x8 because before I had the top one in x8 and the bottom in x16 and I was getting pink flashes in sli mode in game. Will this harm my gpu if the little piece of metal from the noctua fan is right next to or touching the gpu circuit board slightly?

It might short out so just wrap some nonconductive stuff on the fan clip

Any metal that touches the PCB can really mess your day up.

As long as it isn't touching it's fine.

On close inspection, it is not fine!

I would get something non-conductive and put it in between there.

You could bend the clip a bit or like someone previously said wrap the clip in a non-conductive material.

You can use silicone - coat the metal projection with a dab of clear silicone and let it fully cure before reinstalling. Or, get a back plate for the gpu.

anti-static as in the one with little traces on the outside of the bag? nope do not use one of those.
