A40 Hard reset

My brother forgot the pin (the thing with the line, idk how it's called) of the phone so I did a hard reset. But when I'm doing the setup, it says that I have to login with the previous email (which he doesn't remember as well). So i can't do the setup.

Is there any way to solve this?

How exactly did you do a hard reset? Botting into Recovery, and factory reset there?
If yes... then you have a Brick now.

 

This "feature" is from Google, and shall prevent theft. Youu need to correctly factory reset (out of the OS Settings, NOT Recovery), otherwise the phone will need the Login information from the previous Google Account.
That Feature is called "FRP - Factory Reset Protection".
