Hey yall, i am working on my 2009 imac, and once i power it on again, i have a couple issues, 1. After booting for a little while the display shows horisontal lines, i repasted the gpu but the didnt touch the thermal pads, should i replace those and try redoing the paste?

Second it will only boot in safe mode again with graphical artifacts, i had to take out the vsync cable as it was damaged, so i will try replacing that.

Lastly i upgraded the board from a c2d with hd4670 graphics to a i7 860 with hd 4850, and there is a extra connector on the board called skin temp anyone know what that is for? Thanks
