I am having a problem, i bought a caddy from the internet and I plugged it in to my laptop. When I plugged the caddy to my laptop, The boot time is slow and it can't detect the hard drive in bios. The disk drive is always not responding

he probably means an external drive enclosure,

open disk managment(google it) and format the drive from there
