Ram question.

So i ordered in some faulty ram for a new budget build for a family member a couple of weeks ago. When i relised it wasnt working i swapped it out for a 16gb ddr4 3200 kit (2x8gb) from another system i have. Anyway i put it in there and then relised i had no ram for my computer ( i was pretty tired cuz the build took ages) so i took one of the sticks from the 2 i put in the new build and put into my other one so i could run that aswell. But it didnt seem to work as i did not get boot and my monitor wasnt reading any video output. i had the orange light (which apparently indicates a ram issue). im getting new ram in anyway so i figure its just because its one stick or somin so im not to worried about it but i was jsut wondering why it wont  work with just one stick? everything else seems to be working fine. (all fans are spinning ect.)

my mobo is the b450-f from rog.

the ram im using is 16gb ddr4 3200 patriot viper

cpu:2700

gpu:Rx570

did it says detected new hardware and reset the bios for you?if not you could try resetting bios to default...

unplug power from wall...removing the cmos battery..wait 5mins...put back the battery...plug back power to wall...

you can also change back the old ram and reset bios..=x

there are some "clear CMOS" pins on the moterboard that you need to short using a metal object, while the pc is unplugged. removing the battery doesn't always work as intended. take a look in the motherboard manual and you'll see there how it's done.

nah..i usually take it out longer to be sure..haha...yes you could use the jumper too...xD...
