I am starting to plan a build for a new computer desk/computer

I think it would be neat to build the computer into the desk

I recently saw Linus' video on mining rigs and thought about building the computer into the desk because I could mount things just how I want with the cables for video cards and stuff and show it off with glass on the side of the desk.

I have never purchased a test bench or mining rig case so I was wondering if they would be a good buy to be able to mount them into my desk I am planning on building

Are there any parts for this type of build?

Any thoughts or ideas I might not be thinking of?

I also want to, the best I can, hide all cables in the desk.

I have a bunch of planning ahead of me but I am wondering how doable building the computer into the desk idea is, or if I should just build a desk and set a computer next to it lol

Thanks!

This should be in "New builds and planning". I would go for a M-ITX formfactor for this type of build, tho larger motherboards will work just as fine if the desk is large enough. The only thing you really need other than the PC parts, is a PCI-E flexible riser. That way you and lay down you GPU(s) flat with your motherboard.

well if you're going custom you might as well just build it yourself.

just choose a pretty mobo and other parts line em up then you're gold.

I did one back in 2009 but it got destroyed by undoy typhoon including the c2d I had inside. it was decent. and performance was making me happy for the cash I put out for it.
