Budget (including currency): 800 - 1000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I am new to the PC building world and would like to start getting into it. My only computer I have is a Surface 3 that I used in college. Games I would like to be able to play are some battle royal types like  Call of Duty Warzone, Apex, etc... some action adventure games like Red Dead 2 or GTA... and maybe some RPG and MMO games. Down the line I am thinking of getting into a little video editing as well.

Other details:  I was also wondering if there is really a big difference with the Ryzen 5 3600 and the 3600x CPU’s as well as the RTX 2060 KO ultra vs the 1660 super gaming x. Is it worth the extra money to get these better versions or not? I want to get a decent enough PC where I don’t have to upgrade for a little while but would like the option to in the future.

The 3600X is not worth it over a 3600. When it comes to the GPU it really depends on what you want to do with it - the 2060 KO uses the same die as the 2070 Super and 2080 and does provide some extra performance when it comes to productivity tasks.

What about a 5700XT, which is even better? Here's a potential build.

The Tomahawk B450 board does not support the upcoming Ryzen 4000 CPUs (you'd need a X570 board for that, which will currently set you back about $180) - BUT you could throw up to a 3900X (12-core/24-thread) CPU in there in the future.

With the 5700xt what would make it perform better? Also with the SSD storage is NVME more preferred than sata 3? Sorry I’m pretty new to this stuff.

Yes, NVMe is generally faster than SATA III, this is a pretty good budget NVMe SSD.

5700XT will outperform both the 2060 and 1660 Super when in comes to gaming. You can find a lot of benchmarks comparing these cards.

Okay great! By any chance do you have a monitor, mouse and keyboard recommendation?
