I purchased a HP dv6 dv6-6c35dx (AMD A8 3250m Model). It came with 6 gigs of RAM and no hard drive. The first thing I noticed when powering it up the cap locks was blinking so something is wrong with the BIOS and it won't post with 0 display. I also tried plugging it in via HDMI and VGA to multiple different monitors . Any idea how to get this display onto an external monitor or does my theory for why this isn't working flawed?

I have tried clearing the cmos it reacts to the cmos battery removed and the ram appears to be good

The number of blinks in the caps lock is the post code, you need to count the blinks.

That's the thing it doesn't give any beep codes or not even the caps lock is flashing which is something hp's do so I'm assuming it's just the LCD or maybe the controller for the LCD The only way which I can make the computer make noise was by either removing all the Ram or the simos chip which will happen on any computer if it's working or not
