Looking for a recharging cable for a pair of Benq 3D glasses DGD5 (5J.J9H25.001).

Can't tell what kind of USB port this is. Is it UC-E6, or 8-pin mini-B plug?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_ha...onnector_types

Found a 8 pin Mini B cable, it's listed as 93972 part number. A google search says it's a Goobay cable.
https://www.amazon.com/Goobay-93972-.../dp/B003JG3KE0

However one review from Amazon says:
I bought this cable for charging LG 3D glasses (LG-AG-S250). Unfortunately not compatible. Connections fit, BUT there is no charging. 3 cables were tried out.

Is there some kind of special USB cable for 3D glasses?

Top - ?
Middle - Mini USB Type B
Bottom - Micro USB Type B

Whatever that is, it doesn't look like any official USB connector I've ever seen. I would assume that is something proprietary. Here's a list that shows all official USB connectors: https://www.cablestogo.com/learning/connector-guides/usb

By the looks of it, it could very well be UC-E6. Since it is non-standard, I guess the pin layout isn't standardized across brands either. So it's quite possible a cable from one brand doesn't work on another one (like the LG glasses you mentioned). Best bet would be to get the cable from BenQ directly.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

Got the cable. Does not mention Goobay. Listed as Onni-Tec GmbH OTB-DK001. Fit in the glasses connector but does not charge.

Managed to talk to Benq and got a cable from that works.

Benq top, OTB bottom:
