Keyboard not working during boot

Go to solution Solved by yandaman,

Alright guys managed to fix it, had to remove both SSD and HDD which somehow reset the keyboard into working. Managed to get into the bios and boot off a USB and repair windows.

Hi guys

I'm trying to get into my bios to sort out my boot order to fix another problem (at the same time I've been hit with a 0xc000000e error message: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.) but I can't get into the bios due to the keyboard not working. The keyboard itself is a standard USB keyboard (Logitech K200). Was working perfectly fine before this but now nothing when I try to boot up, not even seeing any lights when I press num lock or caps lock. I have tested it on my laptop and they keyboard still works perfectly fine on that.

Any ideas?

System specs:

Intel 4670k, MSI G45 mobo, 8 gigs corsair dominator ram, GTX 770, Vertex 4 SSD as OS drive and a 1tb storage drive.

alot of old motherboards didnt support usb keyboards in the bios, ive always kept a ps/2 kb handy for those situations.

But i find it strange that a newish Motherboard doesnt work straight off the bat, also theres usually a setting inside the bios/uefi called something like "Enable USB Support" .. im not sure if the MSI UEFI has mouse support.. but perhaps u can enable that option with your mouse.

edit. but if your mouse works and its USB too then >_<
