Hi All

New poster here. I have a MSI pro carbon x470 with 2 sticks of RAM in it currently (2x 8GB 3200mhz) I was thinking of upgrading by adding 2x 16GB 3200mhz of the same brand of RAM. Will this work and if so which slots do i need to put the sticks in for the channels to be right? I am fairly new to building PC's just to add.

Thanks

welcome to the forum!

DO NOT MIX/MATCH DIFFERENT RAM STICKS. THEY HAVE TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME (you have to buy new sticks)

if you mix and match ram it is pretty much a lottery as to weather they like each other or not you can reduce the chances of bad times by matching the speed and model and timings etc..

If you judge a fish based on its ability to climb trees it will go its whole life thinking its a failure.

Not necessarily.

I'm using two generic Crucial modules, one Corsair Dominator module, and one Crucial Ballistix Sport module in my X58 system, and it all (somehow) works fine.
