For the sake of closure:

I updated the BIOS and updated the Killer Networking drivers. Now everything is back to normal.

Hey everyone!

I am having some issues with my laptop (Aorus 15 X9). Long story short; I was using Windows 10, moved to linux for a week, too many proprietary tools were required for work, moved back to windows 10. The installation media I have has the 1909 version. It works fine, but there are a lot of pending updates. Everytime I try to update, one of the updates completely breaks the internet on the laptop and I can't do anything and I have to start over. I can't figure out a way out of this. Also, now the bios is not recognizing bootable linux media. I am frustrated and just annoyed at this point and I regret messing with my precious laptop. I am losing time from work too. I do have access to my brother's laptop on occasion. Please help me get out of this situation!
