I just built my first PC and I have started to install all my games on it. I bought most of the Tomb Raider series and thought I'd play some while they're downloading. I went to launch Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness. It opens fine and I get to the main menu. When I start a new game I can watch the first cutscene, but as soon as the gameplay starts, it says "insert disk 1".

I have tried pressing every button on my keyboard and nothing happens. There is no message at the game launch about a CD key like some other games do... I don't know what to do. I have looked elsewhere online for a solution but there is nothing. Can anybody help?

EDIT: I have also tried to verify the game cache files. It says there are some that need fixing, but when it tries to download, it doesn't... On the download screen it just says 0 bytes/0 bytes.

Try verifying the game cache integrity. See if that helps :)

Yup, done that :) I suppose you replied while I was editing my first post :P

Best I can say is to try reinstalling it.

Okay, I'll do that now and see how it goes. I have a similar problem with Tomb Raider Legend. It just gets stuck in a launch cycle, both when trying to launch the actual game and the setup. I verified the cache for that and it says it's validated :/

So sorry that you're having this problem with your first build :(. Hope everything works out fine.

Haha, it's okay, a lot of other games work just fine. I can play Borderlands, Hitman, Civ, and the older Tomb Raider games. I just have no idea about this disk thing... It still says to insert it after I've downloaded it again. Perhaps it's windows 8?

OS shouldn't matter....at least I don't think so lol. Either way, since you bought the game I see no harm in just downloading an ISO of the game, and mounting it using Daemon Tools it to "insert disk 1".
