Wireless Router speed help?

Go to solution Solved by venturizhou,

So if I were to get the router above, I would only be able to get a max speed of 1300mbps? (1300+600)

That's only theoretical speeds and your adapter would have to support it.

Hey guys, so I was looking at some high end routers like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122581

And i was wondering, since it is 600+1300mbps, is there any way you can get the full 1900 mbps? (Using the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz frequency at the same time?)

I also currently have a 600mbps router (300+300), but is there any way to use the full 600 at once through a single connection? Or can I only use up to 300mbps?

Folding for LTT since April 2016.

Nope. Separate bands. While the router broadcasts both at the same time you cannot connect to both at the same time.
