OC or not OC

Hi all,

I'm picking a motherboard for my pc. Ryzen 3400G 2933MHz and Gskill Ram 3000 dual channel.

I don't know whether to pick B450M Gigabyte Aorus or MSI Mortar.

As I saw on their website (screenshot attached here), Gigabyte don't consider 2933MHz system memory frequency to be OC while MSI does. Does this mean Gigabyte is better? Please advise me on this point and any point at all. Thank you so much.

The processor only supports up to 2933mt/s frequency.

3400g limits maximum ram speed to 2933 MHz so any mobo will do

But I would suggest MSI mortar Max because for its better vrms and out of the box 3rd gen support

yes I know the cpu only support that far, but my question is the MSI one (aka the nicer one) has to OC to get 2933 while Gigabyte one does not have to OC. Does this mean much difference, like for board durability and such?

Durability is the same but this gigabyte supports more frequency than  MSI motar

The processor you are using will be fine on either board. They both have adequate power delivery and the memory controller is located on the processor. So either board and memory will likely oc to what the IMC is capable of.
