memory problem or choosing ram

Hi, so I'm using the motherboard "MSI H110M PRO-VH (MS-7996) (U3E1)"  with "g skill ripjaws 2x4g 2133mhz ram.

 

Lately, I've been getting some lag spikes while recording and I think it's because of my memory maxing out.
So should I upgrade my ram?

and if so what 2x8g 2133mhz ram should i pick. I don't really know much about ram, so if someone can help me to choose the pefect ram that will work with the motherboard,

 it would be gladly apreciated.

Any 16gb 2133mhz kit from a good reputable brand such as corsair, kingston, crucial etc should do just fine. Just make sure that you don't buy server ram

And to answer your question (hopefully)

If your memory is maxed out in usage, what ever cannot go to memory goes to the Page File or "virtual Memory" and this utilizes the SSD/HDD. If pushed to HDD, you probably will have some bad experiences.
