I have a Rx 470 8 GB with a Ryzen 5 2600 and I'm facing low you usage around (30-40% barely 60%) and CPU usage is mostly around 85-98% I also get low fps. I tried to use the Asus optimal setting from the bios as I heard it overclocks just a bit. By using that performance was great and the GPU usage went to 95-99% but it wasn't stable and crashed alot so I turned it to normal and now the same issue is there. Please help

Specs:-

Ryzen 5 2600

Rx 470 8gb

Ram 1x8gb Ddr4 @3000mhz

500W PSU

Mobo Asus b350m-a

What games does this occur in exactly?

A little OC shouldn't make THAT much of a difference. What did you change to get good performance?

Also oh Boi, who recommended you to use a single stick of ram for Ryzen?

regarding low CPU usage its problem with RAM, you need 2 sticks of ram prefferably 3200mhz or faster, and regarding PC crashing on default, did u check if u load optimized default in bios, or better remove motherboard battery for 10 sec to restart bios settings to default, and when u get new ram hopefuly, btw it has to be exact same model of ram, you will need to enable XMP or DOCP ram profile in bios to get ram at full speed, whic improves ryzen performance by HUGE margin

I'll try enabling DOCP but the problem is not low "CPU" usage. I'm facing low GPU usage at default settings.

well low GPU usage means CPU cant keep up, cuz its literally cut in half for bandwith cuz of 1 stick of ram

Oh ok thanks I'll try upgrading to dual channel. But untill then is there any way to improve with the single stick?
