Please help me make a choice

Hi,

 

I am not asking to recommend a specific display, but if you want to, I would absolutely appreciate that as well. I may be buying 2 of this display as I am currently running an old 65hz or something HD 24inch screen.

 

Basics:

  • IPS would be great for some of the work I do, not super keen on anything else
  • 24" ideal (Limited space desk, I don't think I can fit 2 x 27inch on this in the space it needs to be in... so 24" it is)

 

Decisions I need to make:

  • QHD 1440p or HD 1080p
  • 144Hz+ or stay with a shitty 60 or 75ish

 

I have not found any good ones that are IPS 24" and also 144Hz and QHD. Maybe I am just bad at finding things, or it looks like its not something people want to use... It looks to me, if I want 24" IPS I can get either an 1440p with less than 144Hz or a 1080p with 144Hz, is that right?

If you're sticking with 24" there's no point in going higher than 1080p since it would only strain your eyes more.

 

How about a single 32" 1440p? That would fit. Or an ultrawide?

Yes one that is basically 2 24" next to each other sort of ultrawide could work, everything these days should work easily windowed, in terms of games? Some of the use would be for game on one side and browser on the other. 

 

Also if 1440p does actually not make any sense on a 24", maybe I should just go for 144Hz IPS panel then which would be easy. 

 

I forgot to mention I would run it on a 2070 Super so Gsync would be good too. Thanks for the recommendations so far and the help! Much appreciated.

Yeah, sucks there's literally not a single monitor that is 24" 1440p 144Hz IPS though. I looked for that too.
