Can someone help me with ROS?

I am trying to build an autonomous robot using SLAM. I have created a map using Hector SLAM (without IMU) but i am not able to localize the robot. Can someone tell me how to localize the robot or share a link with me for the tutorials? 

I have tried using 2d pose estimation but it does not work. I think i am doing something wrong . Your help will be greatly appreciated
