Dual OS system

Hello community,

I made my PC dual os - Linux and Win10.

I use 2 HDD's- One for Linux and the other one for Win10.

In Linux I can open up my Win10 folders and drag my files and etc.

But I can't find a way to make the same thing in Windows. My Linux drive doesn't show up inside "This PC"

Is there a way I can make it show up so I can drag files while I'm on Windows. I just find it really easy to work and do school stuff and etc .

there is no way to do that. the reason is that Linux supports Windows's filesystem, but Windows doesn't support Linux's fliesystem.

 

this needs to be added at the OS level, so if you want to see this changed you'll need to complain to microsoft.

Windows only understands Fat32 or NTFS file systems. Linux tends to use ext4.

 

You can install file explorer addon called Ext2Fsd to see your linux files on Windows.

It can be hit or miss from experience...

 

Another solution is to set up a smallish FAT32 partition to exchange data.
