so ive had this ssd for a few months now, samsung evo 120gb and i had trouble formatting it and im just getting back to it now, ive tried several things but nothing seems to work, i can see it in bios and i even booted off of it (although it said try again because there is nothing on it), but i cant find it anywhere when i use windows (windows 10) not in diskpart, or disk management, im pretty lost at what to do now. As always help is appreciated

Google how to make a bootable Ubuntu USB, boot with that and select 'try Ubuntu', it'll have a utility called Gparted on it, that's like Windows Disk Management on steriods and can tell any drive to get rekt and format anything pretty much. If it's not showing up there then it's probably some kind of hardware issue. I assume you've tried a few different cables?

I would use the AOMEI Partition Assistant, and there is a FREE version.  It works great and I have been using it for all my disk needs.  It will recognize anything you put in the machine.  You can then partition, format, just about anything you need with the free version.
