Please describe what occurs when you try to boot into the operating system (ex. if you see an error message please include that in this thread or does it keep restarting in loop, Blue Screen of Death, Black Screen of Death, etc). Set the boot priority to USB first in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI and try a repair installation of Windows where you can keep your programs and files.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

So when I try to get into windows sometimes it will show lines and a gray screen that nothing for a couple of minutes than go to recovery mode. And other times it will go to windows but with bunch of lines going through it and a little bit of a tint. And than other times it will go into windows after sitting unplugged for while.

The Vid card is the issue.

Can you start into Safe mode?

if you can, uninstall and do a full cleanup of the Video drivers.

get the drivers from the Manufacturer site and install them from that.

I can not get into safe mode

  • 2 weeks later...

This is a SONY TV.. Right?

Check the model manual, there should be a HDMI port for PC, if you plug the HDMI cable into anything else, it will not work.

Can you check this?

Also, have you tried this with just a Monitor?

If this is an older TV, (possibly KDL-32XBR9) it may not have the compatibility for HDMI from a PC.

Read the manual like I said before.

I have seen this before... Try this:

When you get to this screen, hard shut the PC, unplug the power cable, press the power button for 10 sec with the power cable unplugged, wait for 5 mins, plug in the power, restart. You may have to do this a few times if it is too bad...

Another thing is Win10. What Win10 ver are you trying to load?

Try and see if you can get 1803 and below.

Also, try a live OS, from a thumb drive, a lot of Linux OS are Live and can run from a thumb drive or a DVD/CD without installing.

See if any of this works...

Also, how old is the HD you are using?

Yup.. You can still salvage this, be very patient, get a thin nose pliers, set it down on the table, plenty of light, take a drink if you can drink.. put on some smooth jazz and go to work on this.. alignment does not have to be perfect, but almost perfect will work as well...

Patience, and very measured force can get this back to working like new... make a video of you working on this if you can... will be interesting to watch...
