Cpu, ram, gpu, drivers. What do I have to update.

tribum3

Hey. Some time ago I built a pc for my brother.

2400g

8gb 2666

My old gtx 970

Yesterday he asked if I could help him.

He is having problems with csgo. Many molotvs and smokes makes his pc drop fps and lag really bad. Normally he would have around 160-180fps. His is trying to stream too to twitch at the same time.

So he wants to update his pc and asked what would be better.

We live in different countries and timezones so is hard for me personally help him too check if is any issues with the pc.

I want help him. But i am not sure the way to go. What would help him?

Going to 16gb. Can i just buy another 8gb 2666 or worth going new 16gb 3200?

Is it a cpu problem? Should he go to a 3600?

Is the 970 too crappy for today games? He only plays e-sports.

If so. 1660 super or amd? Or something even better.

It is for 1080p 144hz.

Or his computer should be doing better and it is software issue?

I want to help him upgrade his computer  and money is not an issue but I really don't want too waste money in something that he doesn't really need.

Sorry for the story of my life and any help would be much appreciated.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.
