Hey guys, my PC is getting strange noise when folding project 16433, wondering any of you having similar issue.

Here's the video of it, sounds like a receipt printer or something.

And my PC part list:

Intel Core i7 8086k

ASUS PRIME Z370-A

4x16GB Corsair DDR4 3200 C16

EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING

Corsair MP510 1TB

Corsair HX1000i

Phanteks Eclipse P400S

I've been folding for weeks and never noticed such problem.

It seems only occurs to project 16433, other projects and gaming won't make such noise.

Well, the WU making this noise was already done, and no other project is making this noise, so I can no longer specific the source.

Thanks for the tips anyway, I'll look into it if it happened again in the future.

Project 16433 appeared again and so does the noise. It's most likely came from PSU.

I checked the GPU usage curve and it matches the loop of the noise.

Maybe it is a coil whine and there's no way to fix it, but still curious why this only happens to FAH project 16433.

I hear that noise on some projects and while I encode video. I also have the 2080Ti FTW3 Hybrid. I suspect the AIO pump

Coil whine?

I am also runing a 2080Ti, but the Strix Model.

Definitely coil whine. The tone of the whining depends on the WU.

I suspect the frequenzy at what the coils get switched resonates in different tones.

You even hear it with a waterblock, but damped.
