That entirely depends on its age, quality, and how hard it's been used.

 

AKA a never been overclocked lightly used for 6 months in great shape will run better than one that's been used 24/7 full tilt mining for a few years.

The average used price on ebay that it's selling for is around $1200 USD, a majority of them for $1000 USD. So if it's $300ish less than retail I'd say it's probably a good deal. Just make sure you test it before buying, I don't recommend buying GPUs without testing them first.
