GPU VRAM Speed

The RX580 and the GTX 1060 uses GDDR5 but in MSI Afterburner it says the GTX 1060 as 8000MHz and the RX580 as 2000MHz does this mean the GTX 1060 has a 4X faster VRAM?

Nvidia show effective clock speed while AMD show real clock speed.

 

effective clock speed = real clock speed x 4 for GDDR5.

Thank you so much I understand now. So that means both the VRAM has equal real cock and effective clock speeds.
Is there any way to make the effective clock to be displayed on MSI after burner for my RX580?

Go into Settings>Monitoring, click Memory clock, scroll down to Correction Formula, put x*4.

Yeah it works that you so much now I feel like using a much more powerful GPU
