The 1RX16 and 2RX8 only say the chip rank (so 1RX16 is single-rank and 2RX8 is dual-rank), which means that it either has one bank of chips (for single-rank) or two banks of chips (for dual-rank) that can be accessed each at a certain moment.

 

Unless your manufacturer specifically requires single-rank chips, if you install the new dual-rank chips (even in conjunction with single-rank ones), and it works as you expect, you shouldn't worry about the rankings.
