Odd CPU usage and Temps

Hello All,

 

First time doing a custom loop, and have a 2080 and 9700k running on it, not doing any overclocking. Fans running pretty high as well, yet under load CPU can reach mid 80s, even though the GPU may only be at like 40. Cpu also sometimes just doesn't stay under load, and can fluctuate heavily at times while in game. Lastly, CPU temps also rise and fall very quickly with load%, so the instant the load goes from say 5 to 80%, the temp will quickly jump from its idle of 35 up to around 70. This seems highly odd to me, am I just being weird, or is something probably wrong. Using a H700 case, strix Z390 mobo, 8GB ram (working on getting 16), RTX 2080 (the MSI EKWB one), and a 9700k with a 240mm slim and 280mm slim rad to cool it. 

 

Any ideas?

Have you try to set up fan speed manualy on CPU Fan and Pump in Bios.

Yeah, pump is running at the default 4700 rpm, fans run on the performance curve, so 100% when it gets past like 40 degress

Literally jsut playing games like Cod Warzone, with just CAM and Discord open, airflow should be fine, 6 total fans, all running high rpm, case does choke rads a little however

Dont you think that is maybe to high to run 100fan RPM on 40c only ? Well I was using 25 RPM under 40c 50% 60c and everything above 60c goes same with RPM.  Try to have fan speed higher from Pump.

Fan speeds go to around about 1000 rpm, cant put them any higher
