Dram no post issue

Hey guys

i tried to upgrade my ram by sticking another 8gb to the current 2x4gb.

firstly, there was a very weird situation where the bios only showed one active ram slot and the system stated that i only had 8gb of ram available.
Weirdly, the active slot as stated in the bios was the A2 spot which was occupied by a 4gb stick.

i tried a different configuration of one 8gb stick in the A1, one 4gb stick in the A2 and one 4gb stick in the B1 slot but then the Dram debug light turned on and no matter what configuration I used after, even returning to only the original 2x4gb, the pc didn’t post. 
 

I made sure all sticks were inserted correctly and no other part of the pc was touched during this.
