NVMe causing no post

So I bought a Lite-on -CA3-8D512 and my motherboard (Asus ROG B350 gaming-F) will not post with this drive installed. However, I have gotten it work 3 days by resetting the BIOS. This no longer works, I contacted Asus and Lite-on who said it was a compatibility issue. Before I return it I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix this. What I have found is the Dell version of this drive had a firmware update that seems to help post issues. I did try to install it on this drive but because the model name is slightly different, it wouldn't install. (was doing this when I had a few days of no issues with the drive)
