This has been bugging me for some time now... I remember way back, something like 2017/2018, Linus had a sponsor for some program that ran on both windows and Linux. I paid for it and can't seem to find an email for the name of it. As I remember it, you could download different game servers from it, like Minecraft, and install mods with it, and manage the server and see it's status etc. Cant find anything on it at all, does anyone remember this? It's driving me crazy, can't find the video on it or nothing.

Thanks, J

As far as panels go, there aren't any that just work extremely well and are easy to use. They all have different strengths and weaknesses, some are really difficult to get certain games working with them, others easier. There's a quite a few panels out there but almost all of them are not very good, massively out of date or have just been abandoned on top of one of the former issues.

If you're using windows, TCAdmin is probably what you want. It's big, bloated, clunky and has nightmarishly awful linux support but it's fairly stable with acceptable documentation and it's what a lot of game server providers likely still use. It costs money though, and it's not cheap.

If you're using linux though. The one that I really like is Pterodactyl, it's docker based so it's really slick to use and everything is containerized. It's also primarily designed for Minecraft and has the most out of the box support for that. There are many "3rd party eggs" available for it that you can simply add to your panel to support what games you likely need. It's fairly powerful so it's not too difficult to setup your own eggs and containers for other servers you might want to run but you'll need a decent understanding of docker and Pterodactyl to do that.
