Hi there I am GWhizz

I have over 2000 games on steam, I would like to have something I can video edit on using davinci resolve, Audio edit and game on and do a little bit of everything I have a lot of games from past that came on CD/DVD some I will eventually get round to selling. I'm looking at a range of parts. I am getting bogged down in minutia I see a lot of systems without dvd/cd slots. Part of me sometime would like to make mix cd's so that might involve me burning stuff for friends saving some of my bought tunes onto disc or do people not do that anymore, my budget is around 5 to 800 to 1000 if needs be. Some places offer a finance package I have an Hanspree XM new york monitor in the attic which can be serviceable.  I don't mind going for a new hdmi monitor if needs be. I guess my ultimate question is do I really need a dvd rw slot I'm not sure. I need advice on a new rig

Country?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

My question here would be do you need it as soon as possible or can it wait? After GBP tanked against the USD the other week, a lot of stock came in and was accordingly priced quite a bit higher than normal (as most parts are bought by companies in USD so the exchange rate was bad at the time). GBP has recovered against the USD a fair amount since then, so it might be worth waiting a bit for some stuff (seems to be mainly PSUs, GPUs & some storage that has gone up quite a bit) if you can, and also for more of the whole COVID thing to die down so stocks and working can get back to more like normal. Below is a pretty solid system. Could replace the 2060 GPU with a 5700 or something if you wanted or go for a lower end model from either of them 1650 super or RX570/580 type levels if you wanted to save more. For an optical drive, I'd personally just pick up a cheap external one if you need it that plugs in via USB. The build above is also solid.
