Looking for $1,500 Gaming Laptop

Hey guys, I'm going to be away from my desktop for ~6 months, and I'm currently in the market for a laptop. I don't need it until ~June time frame, but i want to look around now, as I'm not sure what the shipping situation is going to be. I live in Canada (so CAD, not USD), and I'm looking for the best laptop in the general area of my budget. I can flex on it either way depending on the quality of the laptop. It's for general web browsing, movies, and a wide plethora of games. If 1440p is possible, I'd like that, but if I can get better specs and a higher refresh rate in 1080p I'm also game. Thanks for any advice!

The nature of my job doesn't support travel with a SFF desktop, both in regards to packing, travel, and amenities I'll be living in. I'm more than likely going to be in semi-permanent tents, etc using my phone as a hotspot for wifi, etc. The general situation just doesn't permit a desktop unfortunately.

Ah, alright. Unfortunatly I am not super into gaming laptops so I can't help you a ton in that regard, but make sure you get one with the new Ryzen chips.
