Doing my first build--got everything in place correctly, all the correct wires, ports ect. Plugged in my PSU power cable, flipped the switch to "on" and only the Mobo's rgb came on. No fans, no lights--nothing. I did the paperclip test and the PSU runs fine. Brand new CPU with no bent pins, and RAM sticks. A week ago, my dumbass took the motherboard out on carpet to look at the headers  so i assume that might have shocked it? I ordered a replacement Mobo and swapping it out did nothing. Does anyone have any troubleshooting?

Check one by one. No Fans, no GPU, only one RAM ect. See if it boots that way. If it does, add the rest one by one.

ram in slots 2 and 4?

Found out my motherboard needed a bios update with an older processor and even with the older one, it wouldnt boot.

And yes about the ram. Even changed my mobo to an ASUS X570-P and I'm still having the same issues. I'm thinking its my PSU...

Same thing. Only the MOBO light came on. With both processors straight out the box.

Since you replaced the MB, i doubt thats your Problem.

Are you sure you did all the cablemanagement right?

Its your first build after all.
