RAM Question

R7 2700X - Asus Prime X570 Pro

Now read the Motherboard QVL about compatible RAM and i ended up to these 2?

1) HyperX Pedator HX432C16PB3K4/32  4*8        GBSS Hynix     16-18-18-36       1.35      3200

2) G.Skill F4-3200C16D-32GTZ  2*16      GBDS    Hynix    16-18-18-38     1.35       3200

Which one you suggest me and why?

@Lfc I assume they are relatively the same cost.  In my opinion I would go with the 2x16 because that will allow you to add more later if you need to (ever).

Definitely 2x16 as it's easier on memory controllers and allows for future upgrades as said above.

Both are okay but I'd go Gskill.

I wanna use the RAM not only with pinnacle ringe R7 2700X but also with my next upgrade matisse R7 3800X

Only HyperX Predator is compatible with both CPUs

The Gskill in Asus QVL don't exist and is not the same (have one more letter and change the Chip Brand from Hynix to Samsung) for matisse CPUs

G.SKILLF4-3200C16D-32GTZA  2*16  GBDS  Samsung 16-16-16-36       1.35       3200 for matisse R7 3800X

G.Skill F4-3200C16D-32GTZ   2*16      GBDS    Hynix    16-18-18-38     1.35       3200 for pinnacle ringe R7 2700X

Is not the same? The last one who is compatible from QVL with R7 2700X will work with R7 3800X?

  • 5 weeks later...

I was helping a friend with his pc just got a new motherboard and was having issues with it even booting so i went over to his house took my pc so i could use my parts and his in each other pc's to trouble shoot components. He just bought a new motherboard because his old one had a dead ram slot and couldnt use his 4 sticks of ram of 8gb for total 32 well throughout all the trouble of having booting issues and video we figured out its was his ram that they where identical but one small difference that i dont understand on the top left of the stickers it says 941 and 1941 will not work in his x570 msi board ryzen 7 2700 but i had in my ram 4 941's then i mixxed his and mine and my pc works fine other than i lost my ram frequency of 2666 to 1866 but pc runs fine i got a b350 gaming qith ryzen 5 1600x so i let him take two of my ram stick and i took his 1941's just because mine would run fine so i at a loss on why this is a issue where i would think i would have worse compatibility with ryzen first gen hardware but not him?
