linux worth it?

wanting to get use to a few platforms and was wondering if linux is going to be worth my time learning?

 

in 10 months im leaving school and will be starting a computer course as soon as i can before entering a job as a computer hardware engineer(hopefully), would linux be beneficial to me?

dual boot my laptop with it or run it on its own? currently got windows 7

ehh.. hmm ,, since its a laptop i dont like to mess around with things , you can run ubuntu off a USB and use it that way.

Yes i totally recommend it, if you want something simple to start go with linux mint or ubuntu if you have any questions because they are so popular you will find an answer on google. Maybe if you want something prettier elementary os is also quite easy to use.

id rather start with more complex things because then i can just play a round with it until i fuck it over and re install

elementaryOS, LinuxMint, Ubuntu are the easiest to learn. Im currently deciding to make the switch to linux as my main OS. Just reading up on stuff on how to maximize SSD performance and life and other stuff.
