hello :)

PC Parts at the bottom.

So hello , so this is gonna be kinda long so bare with me , 3 weeks ago I had some problems with my PC where it would do the buzzing sound and then continue working until I ran something intensive in which scenario it crashed.

I had this happening and decided to do a clean install , I had blue screens in the past but a clean install was fixing them . So after that clean install it was working for 2 weeks with no problems and then power went out along with my PC and after that many problems started , it froze when cold booting , it had blue screens which I don't remember the usual codes it showed but irql something and many more .

So I did a clean install but this time it continued with blue screens and not just that , also didn't blue screen but locked the PC so I had the screen on and everything but I couldnt do anything. So anyways I thought this was related to ram so I took one stick out.

Next I installed windows again and this time no errors in 3-4 hours when gaming too , (all this time I had a version of bios that wouldn't boot first time without restarting)

I didn't have an available stick for memtest so I took the one ram and installed the other stick. First boot it showed that windows didn't boot correctly. Then I turned off the PC and when it didn't boot (cause of bios problem) I pressed the button to restart which never did anything problematic on my PC , but after a while it booted with windows logo and below it some grey artifacts covering the entire screen and then it didn't boot again.

I did a clean install again and now it hasn't done anything wrong on that stick of ram except showing me when trying to install origin that vcruntime140.dll was not found with another file that I don't remember. I found a USB stick and testing memtest86 now without issues yet after 4 passes , same with other stick for 4 passes.

So no ram stick failed but i decided to install windows with one stick of ram and it was working , then i installed the other one to check and it was working flawlessly for 3 weeks until a day ago where it froze and started doing the same thing. When taking that one stick of ram its working 24/7 , when i install the 2nd one just to check it bsods in the first minute of boot, mobo problem or ram problem?

RAM doesnt always use the exact same clusters. So its possible a deffect RAM DIMM can work for an hour or crash after one Minute.

A RAM Test should run vor several hours, best over night.

Did you test the working RAM in different slots?

I did not , will do right now a test in the other channel to see if any bsods occur.

xmp enabled? any overclock? can you do a bios reset to defaults or clear cmos?

I had xmp enabled the whole time yes, apart from that i also had a small oc on my gpu but thats the same oc i had for 2 years now. I havent fiddled with any bios settings apart from xmp and i have the latest bios, i havent cleared cmos but every time both dimms work together, at some point it will go bad again , in a few weeks time that is , and when it happens error are so frequent i cant even do lite gaming or even browse chrome. (last time it started from power outage , now it just froze and started problems)
