Like I said, the CV650 is different from the 450 and 550. The CV is basically just an 80+ bronze version of the VS.

So i recently came up with an idea to upgrade my pc after like 5 years. I had asrock H97 anniversary, Gigabyte gtx960 2gb, i5-4460, corsair vs650, 2x8 hyperx fury ddr3 1600 mhz. Now it will be asrock x370 pro4, gigabyte gtx1660 super gaming oc 6gb, ryzen 5 3600, g.skill ripjawsv 2x8 gb ddr4 3200mhz. And here is the problem where i goofed i bought vs650 again. I mean i have 3 years of warranty again and its new not 5 yo( and i saw some peps saying that grey label is better than the orange one). What i want to ask you i that whether is that going to be a big issue or not. Some people said vs series is shit and it can mess ur pc up. But it managed to work since 2015 and i thought a new one would be great. For now i have only bought motherboard and psu but i want to know whether vs650 should be enough. I don't plan to oc yet so it should be fine i guess? (Also im using the same pc case i got when i first bought this pc with pentium and some other old stuff in like 2007.

You want to know if the psu’s enough, I want to know if your motherboard supports 3rd gen Ryzen on it’s current bios

Return it an get a TXM 550W. The VS is just mediocre at best and bad at worst

Functional? Yes. But you should try to get a higher end PSU. The Corsair cx450 is usually quite cheap. When did you buy this power supply? Can it still be returned?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

11th of april so it can be refunded. But what makes vs series worse than others? Is it risky to oc or generally shit quality?

power delivery is inferior, parts quality is worse (given that it's their lowest tier PSU)

it's not intended for a gaming PC, more for an office PC and the like. Your rig won't need anywhere near 650 watts anyway, however, the Corsair CV650 would also be a good pick (the CV650 is closer to a CX than it is to a VS, while the CV450 and 550 are closer to the VS)

it depends, there are cheap but good PSUs, and then there are just cheap PSUs, There are some smart ways to save money, as long as you don't cut corners.

I was reading about CV and VS differences and i see none apart that bronze 80+ rating. Is it something about quality of materials it is made of?
