i dont see it... isn't that thing soldered on the mobo?

I do not believe the AX200 comes in a soldered version, its specifically M.2 2230 or M.2 1216.

I think most motherboards bury it behind a shield around the antenna sockets and even worse some seem to hide it under the VRM heatsink.

That said, if its faulty is the motherboard under warranty?  I'd also be tempted to wonder if its the router or Windows.  I've personally found the AX200 pretty good.

the connection from my pc is unreliable, it disconnects every 5min and when I start a speedtest my wifi connection bounce between 20 and 80mbit/s. I should have faster internet because when I run it on my phone (when i lay it next to the wifi antenna from the pc) it’s in the upper 2-300s.

I have a crosshair 8 hero (wifi) with build in Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz

I already tried 2,4ghz, switched from ax to ac, played in the settings, reinstalled Windows and tried every driver on the intel and asus homepage... please help

.. hmm ok, i will look for the chip and send it to asus, that would be way easier than the dissembled mobo

thx🙂

Not sure they will accept it that way but its worth asking them, if you can get to it easily that is.

To be honest, if they have any sense they will just send you a replacement as the postage probably costs more than the card.
