So i just purchased 2 of these cards ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080TI Overclocked 11G GDDR6

Since I am doing a new build figured I would go all out.  I run 4 monitors on my PC setup.

1 Acer predator x34 as the main

1 Samsung 34 inch as a secondary
2 Spectre 24 inch in portrait mode on the sides

I also have a Valve index as techincally a 5th monitor but i dont leave it plugged in on my current build but would like to on my new.

My question is about NVLINK.

On my current setup which is SLI i had to purchase a separate AMD cheap card to plug in my side monitors because I couldn't do SLI with more than 2 monitors connected to the card.

I called NVIDIA and they said I could have 3-5 monitors connected and NVLINK would still work

Has anyone tried this and confirmed?  I cannot find much documentation on this

so update, I just built the system, and it seems that you have to go to sli settings to enable nvlink via sli however it will only let me do it with 1 monitor.  Is there a work around or do i have a really expensive secondary card for no reason lol

Well on the current cards they all have to be on the main card while actually using Sli. So it would still work with how many monitors that card claims to support.

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

Yea that worked with 700 for sure. I think it 900 did it. But 10 series had issues if you split it up. I had to go buy more adapters when I found that out. So I’m only assuming 20 series is the same way.

Yeah just plugged it in, it works with all 4 of my monitors...2 on DP and 2 on HDMI.  I see there is a USB C connector, so my plan is to switch my secondary Display Port monitor to the USB by purchasing an adapter then plugging in my VR headset to the DP so i dont have to hot swap like i did on my old build lol
