Steam did work but would not connect 100% of the time sometimes i had to reconnect twice or even 3 times to get connected. if anyone knows why i cant connect some help would be really appreciated :).

Is Sky the brand of the hardware you're using, your ISP, or something else?

Okay, there's a terminology issue here and you need to make a distinction between the company you pay for internet (ISP, broadband provider) and the network you connect to (via WiFi or hard wired).

If you're having connectivity issues after moving to a new internet provider then you need to contact them. If you're having issues connecting to certain WiFi networks then we need details on the hardware/set-up involved. Such as, are you using the hardware provided by them, or your own hardware.

If I had to guess, you've moved to a new ISP and their provided modem/router/wifi access point combo box is causing you problems, but I don't know for sure based on what you've explained so far.

What make and model of Sky device are you connecting to wirelessly?

What speeds do you get if you connect to the Sky device with ethernet vs if you connect wirelessly?

Can you run a wireless survey (2.4GHz and 5GHz if you have it) from your laptop or phone and post the results here?

My model is ER115

The speed with Ethernet and without were generally the same Ethernet being only abt 1mb higher

What speed are you paying for and what speeds are you getting on ethernet and wireless? Use DSLReports.com or SpeedTest.net while there is no other local network activity, please.

Well, if the download and upload speeds are similarly low whether you're directly connected to the Sky device or over wireless, then that's usually a problem on the ISP side of things. They will have to address the problem from their end. Contact them and explain the situation.

Given the COVID-19 situation and increased bandwidth consumption for home users, speeds will suffer in many neighbourhoods, especially if they're connecting to the same ISP. Europe in particular has had increased demand which is putting more load on existing infrastructure to the point where certain services (e.g. streaming) are being throttled. It is not a problem that will be fixed immediately.
