This is the PC that I built about two days ago. When I played Fortnite, I got random frame drops as low as 30. What could be causing the problem?

What are your settings?

Your build might be getting to hot which can cause it to thermal throttle, which slows your computer down to try to lower the temperature. You might want to flip one of your fans

It might be thermal throttling. You might want to flip one of your fans. You should also change your FPS maximum to unlimited or 120FPS

This is absolutely right add more fans if you don’t have any and what resolution do you play at. If your playing at 8k and expect over 30fps then... but if it’s at 1080p then it might be a gpu problem

I am on a 1080p monitor 144hz.

If you take a side panel off and the FPS gets better, it's thermal throttling and you might want more fans

Buy a fan at a home goods store and take off the side panel and put it there.

My side panel is off and I have 7 fans. My CPU is running at 4.12 Ghz out of the box. Could that be a problem.
