Hello

I just installed Google Chrome, Steam, Discord, Battle.net and Cisco Packet Tracer after getting a new laptop.

After a while, iSearch.babylon randomly appeared in google chrome, and randomly disappeared again. What is the cause of this? I know it's usually unknowingly installed, but none of the softwares listed above has adware hidden in them.

Any theories?

You have adware on your system.

Download Malwarebytes Antimalware and run it on your system.

Also download AdwCleaner and run it after you run Malwarebytes.

When you run these scans and reboot. Re-run them again. If everything is clean, move on to below.

Once everything is clean, go into your web browser and make sure your search engine is set correctly. Also make sure your home page is setup correctly as well. Do the same for any other web browser.
